Please read these conditions carefully before using The Chocolate Shop website. By using this website You signify Your agreement to be bound by these conditions.
 

Definitions

Customers or visitors to this website are referred to as “You” or “Yours”, The Chocolate Shop is referred to as “Us” or “We”.
 

Our Guarantee

At The Chocolate Shop We are committed to providing an excellent service and aim to bring you the very best in confectionery and hand-crafted jewellery.
 
All of our products are offered with free personal message card and gift wrapped, if requested. Please note We reserve the right to edit or refuse to include any message that contains offensive, racist and or inappropriate content.
 
We will always endeavour to dispatch your confectionery orders, when requested, on the day You place Your order – providing your order is received by 1pm (Monday – Friday). Exceptions to this rule will be clearly marked on the page/listing.
 
We aim to deliver jewellery items within 2 weeks once full payment has been received and cleared. This is a reflection of the time needed to produce hand-crafted jewellery. The Chocolate Shop guarantees that all jewellery (unless otherwise stated) is sterling silver (925). Most items are hallmarked, however some are not due to the small size or delivery commitment.
 
If You have received an item you are not entirely happy with please contact Us with Your comments. We endeavour to respond to all complaints within 48 hours.
 

Allergy Information

Our luxury chocolate products may contain nut traces, traces of gluten, wheatflour and milk proteins unless otherwise stated.
 

Purchasing Information

In the unlikely event that We cannot satisfy Your confectionery order due to stock unavailability We will contact You to offer You an alternative. However, if this would prevent Us from meeting Your delivery date, We will send suitable substitutes of the same or higher value and contact you afterwards.
 
If We for any reason cannot fulfill Your jewellery order within Our 2 week rule, We will offer you the choice of putting the item on back-order for dispatch as soon as it is ready, a refund for the item or the choice to choose an alternative instead.
 
We have made every effort to display and describe all of Our items as accurately as possible.
 

Returns Policy

We comply with the current Consumer Protection. Please note that Our chocolates and perishable goods are exempt from this regulation. If your goods arrive damaged please contact Us before returning the goods either by email or telephone.
 
With jewellery items We offer a 7 day money back guarantee, if any item is not quite what you required then please notify Us by email or mail (stating reason for return) within 7 days of receipt. We will then issue you with either a refund or allow you to exchange the item for something else instead. Please note postage costs are not refunded.
 
No refunds or exchanges are available for bespoke items ordered, earrings (for hygiene reasons) or rings ordered to a specific size.
 
Please send items back via Royal Mail Special Delivery Service. Postage costs are not reimbursed unless the item/s are damaged/fautly.
 

Security and Privacy

When making payment you will be transferred automatically to secure pages and Your payments are processed safely and securely.
 
It is Our policy NOT to sell OR pass on any personal details. We will store and process any details you provide at the time of purchasing to help support Our service to you and from time to time We may provide You with details of Our products and special offers.

Payment will be processed at the time of order. The name and billing address given must be the same as the registered name and address of the card holder. Failure to supply correct details will result in delays with your order.
 

Delivery

All UK confectionery deliveries are made by Royal Mail 1st Class Postal Service, you should allow 2-3 days for delivery.
 
All UK jewellery deliveries are made by Royal Mail Special Delivery Service.
 
If We are delivering Your order to a third party address you must ensure that You provide Us with a full and accurate address including the correct postcode.
 
Please note that We are unable to deliver to an address containing a P.O Box number.
 
Should there not be someone in to sign/accept delivery during working hours or if the Royal Mail considers that Your order will not fit through the letter box a card will be left informing the recipient that they have tried to deliver and what to do next.
 
We accept no liability if delivery is not made due to the recipient not being available or due to the recipient failing to contact their local sorting office within reasonable time to arrange collection or re-delivery.
 
Please note that We cannot offer specific delivery times for worldwide destinations.
 
We only dispatch goods Monday-Friday, generally orders received on a Friday will not be dispatched until the following Monday.
 
In extremely hot or cold weather, We reserve the right to delay Your order until the weather has moderated (we will contact you).
